Privacy Policy

This page lays out what we do — and don't do — with your data. The good news is it's short, because we don't collect much about you in the first place.

We collect almost no personal data

CoinFledge is a pure content site. It requires no sign-up, no login, and has no account system. In the course of normal browsing, we don't ask you for your name, phone number, ID documents or other personally identifying information. The only time we receive anything is when you email us of your own accord — then we get what you put in that email (such as your email address and what you wrote), used to reply to you.

Calculators and tools: data never leaves your browser

The fee calculator, position calculator, DCA backtest, liquidation price calculator and other tools on this site all run locally in your browser. The amounts and numbers you type are used only to calculate and show results on your end, in real time — they are not uploaded to our servers, and we can neither see nor store them. Once you refresh or close the page, those inputs are gone. In other words, what you compute with these tools is between you and your browser.

Basic visitor analytics (if enabled)

To understand which articles readers find useful and where the site needs improvement, we may use basic website analytics (aggregate data such as page views, referral sources, and approximate region and device type). This kind of analysis is about overall trends, not identifying who you personally are. We don't use it to piece together a profile of any individual visitor. If you'd rather not be counted this way, you can turn on "Do Not Track" or block the relevant scripts in your browser or an extension — it won't affect your reading of the site.

About cookies

We try to keep cookie use to a minimum. Any cookies that do appear fall roughly into two kinds: first, technical storage needed for the site to work (such as remembering some of your browsing preferences); and second, the analytics cookies mentioned above (if enabled). We do not use cookies for cross-site ad tracking. You can view, delete or refuse cookies in your browser settings at any time — in most cases this won't affect your reading, though some tool preferences that rely on local storage may be reset.

Third-party services

The site uses a small number of third-party services that your browser may connect to directly when you visit:

These third parties each handle data their own way, which we can't control on your behalf, so we suggest reading their privacy terms when needed.

Your rights

Because we keep almost none of your personal data, in most cases there's no "your data" for us to process. But if you've emailed us, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the email information we hold about you as a result. Just write to the address below and say so, and we'll handle it within a reasonable time. We also won't sell or hand off your email information to unrelated third parties.

Contact

For any privacy questions, requests or complaints, write to [email protected]. This policy may be updated as the site's features change, and we'll update the date on this page when it is.
